The "first of the year" snowfall - and a wonderful one it was!!!
Princeton, Illinois is where I'm at and it's the spot that received the brunt of the snow - about 18 inches. WhooHoo!!!

Interstate 80 is closed and traffic is being routed on Route 6 through Princeton.
I'm listening to WGN radio and something like 45 miles in one direction and 75 miles in the other direction - closed.
People have been sitting in their cars, stopped, since 7 am - it's now about 5 pm.

Toonsie (the driving cat)

A nice drift on the deck.

King of the Mountain

Heading north through downtown Princeton

The bridge over I-80 - just west of the Princeton exit.
Westbound.

Eastbound
No moving traffic in either direction.

Some of the county roads were plowed - but not completely clear.
MANY of the lower class county roads have yet to be touched.

The Princeton "Wooden Covered Bridge"

Squirrels can't read

Picnic tables

An honest 18 inches.
