Hand throttle for trail use

Find a gearshift selector that has an adjustable friction setting. You can then adjust friction to hold a set throttle opening or to have no friction so it automatically closes. I have enough friction to hold a setting. I can adjust the main selector as my hand normally sits on the gearshift knob.

The end of the cable has a simple "electrical crimp eye" for an end. It's only crimped onto the cable - and the connection is strong enough to not pull off. There is a small clip that keeps the "eye" from sliding off of the post. A small tag of string on the clip makes it easy to pull the clip to disconnect the hand throttle (should it need to be).
