Montrose to Glenwood Springs via Uncompahgre Plateau & CO-141

The Uncompahgre Plateau has been a curiosity. Today will be the day to visit a good section of it - the main road and some side trail. Coming off the plateau, CO-141 offers some wonderful red-rock valley scenery - always a nice section of the state to visit.

Much of the Plateau was on a main forest road. The single "bump out" was a trail set.

About the same distance past the mountains is Moab Utah

Southwest - nice green tree cover

Open grazing

Our group split - some heading out / back earlier via a northeast route. Ken and I with Bryan and Colin will trek west down to CO-141 - a favorite area of mine.
