The
season is coming to a close. Trails are closing as snow keeps falling.
There was a bit of snow on the trail - the typical "snow patch" that
closes this open-all-year trail was 80% show covered but we were able
to drive through it to explore the rest of the trail. The remaing trail
offered only small bits of show - off in the shadows. We explored most of the fingers but did not venture down to the creek for the eastern trails - the obstacle on the way to the creek was a "not today" feeling. |
Stats
for the trail portion of the day. We ventured to the top of Miller
Rock, but with the wind, only stayed there five minutes. Lunch was
enjoyed at the base of the rock - out of the wind. |
A nice view - the mountains are getting more white |
Not much water flowing - but it was present and not frozen. |
A couple deer were out for us to see. |
